FAQ

Is my mug microwave safe?

Yes! All the pieces I make are microwave safe. Unless there is silver/gold on it, it's totally safe for your mug.

Is my mug dishwasher safe?

Technically, yes—but I’d recommend minimizing it. Over time, the high heat levels in a dishwasher can wear down ceramics, especially around handles and other delicate areas. Some dishwashers also run hotter than others, so there’s really no way to guarantee it’s completely safe. Use your best judgment and decide whether it’s worth the risk.

Do you do commissions?

I do! However I'm limited to what I can do in terms of my abilities. The larger the piece, the trickier it is. To inquire about a commission please email me at highnoonpottery@gmail.com.

I chipped/broke my piece, can I fix it?

It varies depending on the break, but generally speaking, no. In order for ceramics to be considered food safe, you must have a glaze coating on the interior of the piece, and any time of glue you use to repair it would not be food safe. However if it is something you wouldn't be drinking from, it's for sure worth the try! I recommend gorilla glue (specifically for ceramics).

My piece is now broken, can I get a new one (free of charge)?

Unfortunately I am not able to remake pieces free of charge, however I am able to replace pieces with payment on a case by case basis.
